Starter Swim Bootcamp is designed for capable adult swimmers who want to consolidate their freestyle technique while learning how to build endurance in a structured, supported way.

This bootcamp is ideal if you:

  • Can swim 200–400m continuous freestyle; 2:30-2:15 pace per 100m

  • Want to refine key freestyle fundamentals without breaking the stroke into drills

  • Are ready to build confidence swimming longer distances through structured sets

  • Want to understand how to structure your swim training, not just follow workouts

  • Prefer coach-led sessions with clear cues and feedback applied during swimming


What you’ll work on

Starter Bootcamp focuses on:

  • Consolidating freestyle technique using SwimLab’s big-ticket cues

  • Improving body position, timing, breathing, stroke connection

  • Learning how to hold technique as workload increases

  • Developing familiarity with structured swim sets and rest intervals

Over the course of the program, swimmers are guided through progressive conditioning sessions and weekly distance challenges. The goal is not simply to swim one kilometre continuously, but to understand how structured sets, pacing, and recovery build the capacity to do so with confidence and control.

By the end of the program, swimmers have:

  • A clearer, more dependable freestyle stroke

  • Improved endurance and repeatability

  • A working understanding of how to structure their own swim training

Program structure: Starter Bootcamp runs over six weeks, with progressive weekly conditioning challenges and structured swim sets designed to build endurance, confidence, and training literacy.

Advanced Bootcamp

Who it’s for

Advanced Swim Bootcamp is for experienced adult swimmers who already have a solid freestyle base and want to improve efficiency, control, and conditioning through higher-intensity, coached swim sets.

This bootcamp is ideal if you:

  • Can swim up to 1km continuous freestyle

  • Typically swim around 2:30–2:15 per 100m

  • Want to improve stroke efficiency while swimming at stronger intensities

  • Are training for ocean swims, triathlon, or longer-distance pool swimming

  • Can absorb technical feedback and apply it quickly during whole-stroke swimming

  • Enjoy being challenged in a focused, coach-led environment


What you’ll work on

Advanced Bootcamp builds on existing fitness and skill by:

  • Refining technique under sustained and variable intensity

  • Improving efficiency, and feel for the water, so pace is held with less effort

  • Developing endurance through longer, purposeful swim sets

  • Applying technical adjustments at different speeds and distances

Sessions are demanding and content-rich. Swimmers are expected to engage, reflect, and adapt, with coaching cues layered into the work rather than separated from it.

This is where strong swimmers become smarter, more efficient swimmers.

Program structure: Advanced Bootcamp is delivered over four 90-minute sessions, allowing for deeper technical focus, longer sets, and more intensive conditioning within each session.
